At the NAC: The second of two performances by Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero whose skills and talent border on the mystical—she can play the classics or improvise on any musical theme her audience suggests. It starts in Ontario with Sketches of the Madawaska Highlands by Canadian Harold Kaufmann, and then crosses the Atlantic with Respighi's Pines of Rome, and finally ends in the Persian courts to witness a Sultan's Queen performing a delicate dance of power and seduction with a performance of Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov
The Canterbury Trebles Women's Ensemble presents Why We Sing, a selection of favourite songs curated by ensemble members for their 20th anniversary
The Young String Performers Foundation presents a concert featuring works by Bottesini, Bruch, Handel-Halvorsen, Wieniawski, and Ysaÿe, and others

For the DOMS concert, Viola, Piano, and Guitar! Andrew Paul MacDonald, Carmen Picard, and Bojana Milinov present new and Romantic-era works arranged for their unique instrumentation
8 (Thursday)
The Thirteen Strings presents Forces of Nature. Conductor and harpsichordist Alexander Weimann will join Thirteen Strings in a program celebrating the power and the beauty of nature. Soprano Magali Simard-Galdès, praised everywhere for her clear, crystalline voice, will also join Thirteen Strings for the first time.
In celebration of Uruguay's 200th anniversary of indpendence, Uruguayan pianist Enrique Graf will perform at Freiman Hall on the University of Ottawa campus. The Kanata Choral Society presents From Palestrina to Rutter, a remarkable concert showcasing a sweeping journey through the history of choral music. This program features a captivating selection of works spanning centuries, from the Renaissance polyphony of Palestrina, through the Baroque music of Bach and Handel, the Classical music of Mozart, Brahms' Romantic harmonies to the contemporary compositions of John Rutter and Arvo Pärt, among others.

At the NAC: This special concert provides a front-row ticket to the Orchestra's upcoming international tour. Korean pianist Yeol Eum Son — whose popularity at home rivals that of K-pop stars — returns to perform a jazzy masterpiece by Ravel, his concerto in G. Also two musical poems showcase Strauss's expert ability to tell vivid stories through music: Death and Transfiguration, and Don Juan. Finally Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy's Dark Nights, Bright Stars, Vast Universe rounds out the evening

The Atlantic Voices present Shorelines, a musical tour of the harbours, bays, coves, capes, and riverbanks of the Atlantic Provinces. The program features Newfoundland classics such as "Let Me Fish Off Cape St. Mary's" and "A Great Big Sea Hove in Long Beach" as well as contemporary gems by Stan Rogers, Robbie Smith, Buddy Wasisname, and James Gordon of Tamarack. Labrador Inuk songwriter Deantha Edmunds' moving "Song of the River" imagines her people's history as a river running down through the ages.
The Bibik Duo presents the forth concert of the season in their new music series Music Dialogues, featuring music by Beethoven, Schumann and Tchaikovsky. Anna Baksheeva, violin and Natalia Bibik-Chabukiani, piano are local professional musicians and music teachers who are passionate about chamber music for violin and piano and want to build community around their performances in the capital region
